Met someone you like, now it’s time for the first date.
The question is where do you go or what do you do?
I have covered this before in Where to go on a First Date in Perth but here a few more suggestions to help you out.
There are choices for a quick drink after work, a coffee (then if then if all doesn’t go well you have the option to leave without any fuss)! If things go well there are some suggestions of places to head out to dinner.
I will also let you in on a secret – if you go to a couple of places on a date it builds connection. Why? Because your date will feel like they have known you longer – weird but true.
Drinks
City
Lalla Rookh – Great place for a drink after work. They have a main bar/restaurant area but the highlight is the wine bar hidden out the back which a lot of people don’t go to. You can always get a seat in the wine bar. Everything about the place is ideal as a date venue. Lighting is subdued, you sit on bar stools so you can sit close to your date and interact with them. You can grab a bottle of wine off the wall and just pay corkage on it. Food is top notch, the charcuterie board which is great to share as a snack. Staff are the best in Perth and the place is recognised as one of the best venues in Australia. They have been named in several top 100 venues.
Varnish – Located on Hay St, you walk downstairs into a cosy bar. Definitely on the more intimate side with a great drinks/food. Watch out for the stuffed beaver behind the bar named Justin.
Andaluz – Small venue which is a Spanish tapas bar. Can do drinks or share tapas.
Treasury Complex – A number of venues are located within the complex which means there is something there for everyone. For instance you can go to the beer bar, wine bar, café or a range of restaurants including Long Chim. The fit out is very impressive and all the venues are definitely on the higher end. They have done an amazing job with the refurbishment.
Other venues – Flour Factory, Bobeche, Bobs bar or Print Hall, Wolf Lane bar, Cheeky Sparrow, Helvetica,
